The Ambience

This resort in Mykonos offers chic and natural design along with a private beach, providing a luxurious experience.

The hotel has stunning views of the Aegean Sea with a panoramic view of the turquoise waters. The hotel is built on various levels into the cliffside, and there are steps to take even with outdoor elevators.

The exteriors of the hotel are in typical Cycladic form with stacked stone. The interiors were renovated in 2014 and have a stylish and sleek design with natural elements like metallic embossed pebble details at the front desk, wood floors, tree stump tables, and woven baskets acting as light fixtures.

The outdoor spaces are also chic and have terraces facing the sea. This hotel offers a peaceful and intimate atmosphere with its private beach and oceanside dining. While families with children can enjoy the family pool and playground, it is mostly a destination for couples.

The hotel occasionally hosts weddings that might cause some disturbance, but otherwise, the atmosphere is serene. It is important to note that the hotel is only open from May to October.

Although the hotel provides a private beach, Ornos Beach can be reached in just nine minutes by foot. There are free hourly shuttles to Mykonos that will arrive in 15 minutes. Taxis can be difficult to find in Mykonos.

The town has traditional whitewashed houses, upscale boutiques, restaurants, and the Archaeological Museum of Mykonos, which is worth a visit. Mykonos’ Old Port and Airport are both a 15-minute drive away from the town’s maze-like streets.

The Rooms

The hotel offers modern accommodations such as rooms, suites, and villas that come with high-end amenities.

There are various types of beautiful rooms available, ranging from smaller Superiors with either partial or full sea views, which are about 215 square feet (20 square meters) in size, to larger Deluxes and Suites that start at approximately 430 square feet (40 square meters).

The natural design found in the hotel’s common areas is also present in the rooms, with wood furniture and floors, white or gray linens, hanging lanterns, and rattan accents, such as bedside tables that resemble suitcases.

The rooms are decorated with sea-themed artwork, and the higher-category rooms have romantic four-poster beds. Each room has French glass doors that open onto a private balcony or terrace facing the sea, making the rooms bright. Upgraded rooms have larger terraces with hot tubs or plunge pools.

The amenities available in the room are satellite TVs with DVD players and sound systems, desks, minibars, Nespresso machines, and seating areas. Other additions include hairdryers, AC, and safes. If you opt for a Villa, the area starts at 1022 square feet (140 square meters), and you can also request private butlers.

The bathrooms have honey marble designs and are equipped with walk-in rainfall showers, Acqua di Parma toiletries, and bathrobes. Higher-category rooms come with separate jetted tubs.

Features

The amenities include high-quality bars and restaurants, a secluded beach, two swimming pools, and a spa.

The resort provides luxurious amenities that are perfect for couples looking to unwind. Guests can enjoy the private beach, which is equipped with complimentary loungers and umbrellas. Additionally, there are two outdoor infinity pools, with comfortable and stylish seating, available for swimming.

The main pool is intended for adults only, while children can use the smaller pool, which has a built-in hot tub. The Colonial restaurant located by the pool serves Mediterranean dishes and offers complimentary breakfast with cooked, continental, and Greek options.

Traveling to 🇬🇷 Greece soon?

I recommend these travel resources for Greece that I personally use:

🏨 Hotels: I have found that Expedia and Booking.com consistently have the best deals on hotels and resorts in Greece. If you prefer to stay at a vacation rental, check VRBO that is usually cheaper than AirBnB’s added fees!

✈️ Flights: To find the best flight deals to Greece, I always use Kayak. Remember to subscribe to their price alerts for the travel dates you want. Another great alternative for flight deals is Expedia.

🚗 Rental Cars: I always use and highly recommend Discover Cars because it allows me to compare several car rental companies and view ratings on various factors such as overall value, pick-up procedure, agent efficiency, car condition, and total time taken.

🚙 Airport Transportation: For the fastest and easiest way to travel, I suggest arranging a private transfer from the airport and beetween destinations with Welcome Pickups. Honestly, no better way to travel from the airport to your hotel or resort.

🤿 Tours & Activities: For tours and activities in Greece, I highly recommend using either Viator or GetYourGuide. These websites offer a full refund if you cancel your booking 24 hours before the start of the tour, and they also provide excellent customer service in case of any issues.

🚨 Travel Insurance: I always suggest purchasing travel insurance as a precaution before traveling, especially after a recent accident in a taxi in Greece. For short trips, I recommend Travel Insurance Master, whereas for digital nomads, Safety Wing is a better option.

📷 Best Camera for your trip: I always carry with me a GoPro, It’s light, compact, takes great video and pictures, and most importantly, it’s waterproof! You just can’t go wrong with one. If you are interested in higher quality video and photography, I always carry with me on my trips and highly recommend the Sony A7IV which I think is the best travel DSLR Camera out there.

☀️ Biodegradable Sunscreen: Remember to include a good sunscreen to protect yourself from the summer sun. I always use and suggest Sun Bum Sunscreen, which is vegan, reef-friendly, and cruelty-free.
