Safety and Security in Italy

Good news as Italy is generally a very safe country. The Global Peace Index  ranked Italy at number 39 out of 163 nations, as the country enjoys a very low violent crime rate.

Tourists should be aware of the risk of petty crimes like pickpocketing in some of the most popular cities such as Rome, Florence and Milan. However, anyone thinking of intruding into your home should reconsider their decision since they won’t easily manage to pass by your attentive neighbors.
