Pezoules is located toward the base of the caldera, with a construction integrated into the cliff rock that offers stunning views. The area is silent as most people prefer to stay higher up on the cliff. Occasionally a few people or donkeys can be seen passing through the nearby path.
Pezoules boasts a stylish mix of traditional Cycladic architecture and contemporary minimalism. The walls are whitewashed with smooth edges, and there are various curves and cave-like alcoves. The decoration gives a sense of spaciousness and calmness. To enhance the ambiance, a refreshing sea breeze fragrance is present.
The property has a shared terrace that faces the sea and is adorned with collapsible chairs and umbrellas. You can find a tiny pool bar on-site that offers indoor and outdoor seating and is popular among couples. This bar overlooks the caldera.

Along the lower caldera cliffs, a few steps down from Oia. Pezoules is located in the lower caldera cliffs of Oia and offers a peaceful atmosphere away from the village’s noise. Guests can climb a set of steps carved into the cliff rock and easily reach Oia within minutes. In Oia, visitors will find restaurants, shops, bars, and historical blue-domed churches.
Art enthusiasts can explore the Mnemossyne Gallery, which displays the work of local artists ranging from photography to jewelry, in a unique cave-like building. The scenic old pedestrian path that connects Oia with Fira, which is located two hours south, starts from Oia.
Most of the rooms have a cave-like design, and they feature contemporary decor and special characteristics.
At Pezoules, there are six rooms. Four of them have a traditional cave-like design with white walls and curved edges that are typical of the area. All rooms have contemporary decor in neutral colors and include Dimstel ergonomic mattresses, Korres toiletries in the bathroom, and personal bathrobes with slippers.
Additionally, there are stocked kitchenettes and minibars, and each room has views of the caldera. If you are traveling with friends, you might want to choose the Matzourana or Valeriana rooms since they share a beautiful terrace.
The Althaea and Louisa rooms may be more fitting if you’re looking for a distinct feature, such as a shower carved into a rock. Keep in mind that you’ll need to climb some stairs to reach the village, but the rooms located higher up will require fewer steps.
The room comes with room service and a bar alongside a compact-sized infinity pool. Although Pezoules is a small hotel, it has many features. However, it needs more seating in shaded public areas.
The small infinity pool only has a small deck with few seats to accommodate the guests. The Mastiha Pool Bar is a good place to grab a snack or drink, but it has limited indoor seating capacity. If there are no available seats, you can still order food from the pool bar, which also offers a complimentary Greek breakfast. The property provides free Wi-Fi and 24-hour reception services that guests can use.
