From the instant we stepped into La Zebra Hotel Tulum, we felt like it was going to be a special stay for the whole family. We were welcomed with open arms by the kind staff that were very kind and helpful.
First thing we noticed is the decor of this hotel which is absolutely breathtaking; it’s one-of-a-kind with a laid back and relaxed atmosphere that’ll make you feel like you’re in tropical paradise…and you are. Our stay at La Zebra Hotel Tulum turned out to be an absolute dream come true!

La Zebra Hotel Tulum boasts an excellent selection of very spacious and well-equiped rooms, with plenty of natural light streaming in through their high ceilings. The interior design is an exquisite mix of traditional Mexican style elements and modern minimalistic decor that will make you feel right at home!
Plus, the beds are unbelievably comfortable…no complaints by anyone in the family; the linens and towels are first class quality too. My wife especially adored all those little touches added to each room like hand-woven blankets or locally made pottery pieces that add so much character to your stay! Our room had a balcony overlooking the pool that was absolutely ideal for enjoying some sun while listening to the birds chirping away in the lush tropical vegetation.
The service at the hotel is also a highlight! The friendly and attentive staff were always there for us whenever we needed help and their English was great.
Not only that, but they were more than happy to provide ideas and suggestions about what activities are available in the area for the whole family. They always greeted us with a smile or strike up a conversation to make sure you are enjoying your time there.
La Zebra Hotel Tulum provided us with an oasis of tranquility for the whole family that we all truly appreciated. Their stunning pool area is surrounded by lush green vegetation, making it a dreamy spot to sink into post-adventure exhaustion.

Additionally, the on-site restaurant serves some of the best food in Tulum with delectable dishes crafted from local ingredients (the tacos here are epic) and a great selection of beer and wine. The hotel also has a marvelous outdoor seating area where one can take in the tropical wonders while basking in exquisite cuisine!
The hotel’s location in Tulum was ideal for exploring the town and surroundings! The beach was only a few steps away and we had no difficulty accessing Tulum’s top attractions like its many restaurants and stores, as well as its renowned ruins and cenotes.
Some of them were only a quick bike ride away which was definitely. And biking around Tulum was definitely one of the highlights of the trip for the whole family.
We could not have asked for a more delightful and memorable stay at La Zebra Hotel. From the chic boho decor to the cozy bedrooms and beautiful private beach, this hotel is absolutely flawless!
The staff was exceedingly gracious and accommodating and made us feel really welcome. We wholeheartedly recommend La Zebra Hotel Tulum to anyone searching for an elegant holiday experience in Tulum; it’s certainly earned our return too!
Expert Tip: Guests at La Zebra are also allowed to use the facilities of the hotel group’s sibling hotels – Mi Amor and Mezzanine.

🚗 Rental Cars: I always use and highly recommend Discover Cars because it allows me to compare several car rental companies and view ratings on various factors such as overall value, pick-up procedure, agent efficiency, car condition, and total time taken.
🚙 Cancun Airport Transportation: For the fastest and easiest way to travel, I suggest arranging a private transfer with Cancun Airport Transportation. Honestly, no better way to travel from the airport to your hotel or resort.
🤿 Tours & Activities: For tours and activities in Mexico, I highly recommend using either Viator or GetYourGuide. These websites offer a full refund if you cancel your booking 24 hours before the start of the tour, and they also provide excellent customer service in case of any issues.
🚨 Travel Insurance: I always suggest purchasing travel insurance as a precaution before traveling, especially after a recent accident in a taxi in Mexico. For short trips, I recommend Travel Insurance Master, whereas for digital nomads, Safety Wing is a better option.
📷 Best Camera for your trip: I always carry with me a GoPro, It’s light, compact, takes great video and pictures, and most importantly, it’s waterproof! You just can’t go wrong with one. If you are interested in higher quality video and photography, I always carry with me on my trips and highly recommend the Sony A7IV which I think is the best travel DSLR Camera out there.
☀️ Biodegradable Sunscreen: Remember to include a good sunscreen to protect yourself from the summer sun. I always use and suggest Sun Bum Sunscreen, which is vegan, reef-friendly, and cruelty-free.
