Le Blanc Cancun Spa Resort
Le Blanc Cancun is an upscale and discerning adults-only resort that stands out from the standard mass-market vacation competitors. It is considered the top luxury all-inclusive resort on the strip.
The hotel, Le Blanc Spa Resort, has a cool and refreshing design with white interiors that give a sense of lower temperature. Although keeping everything clean is difficult, the hotel manages to stay on top in a competitive market. It remains the best luxury beach hotel in Cancun, even with more competitors opening each year. Recently, they did some renovations to keep the hotel looking fresh.
Upon arrival, the staff greets you warmly and offers a chilled towel and welcome drink. The lobby has plenty of sitting areas and has a welcoming atmosphere. The recent renovation got rid of the curtain partitions, creating an open space with a hipster South Beach vibe. The lobby bar in this resort has a beautiful design and offers a comfortable reception area, which is different from the typical overcrowded and rushed lobbies found in most all-inclusive resorts in the region.
If you arrive after check-in time, you will be taken directly to your room and given a full orientation by a combination butler and concierge who will be stationed on your floor by the elevator throughout your stay. The spacious rooms have many features including a whirlpool designed for two people, a stocked mini-fridge, and a bar with full bottles of high-quality brand-name liquor such as Centenario tequila and Johnny Walker Scotch.
Upon arriving and settling in, guests are greeted with thoughtful amenities such as a bottle of wine, a high-quality complimentary beach bag, and freshly baked treats. However, some guests have noted that the presence of Bud Light in the fridge seems out of place compared to the indulgent offerings. In fact, one guest even requested to replace it with a Mexican beer through the butler service.
All rooms in this place offer an ocean view and feature a sunken sitting area with stylish furniture. There is also a small standing balcony for enjoying the view. The marble bathrooms come with an extensive range of Bvlgari toiletries, fluffy towels, robes, a whirlpool tub, and both a rain and hand-held shower. The technology amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, Apple TV, Netflix, and multiple charging plugs. In addition, the rooms offer pillow menus, aromatherapy, and nightly turndown service.
The rooms come equipped with an electronic safe that is capable of fitting a laptop and there is also an espresso maker for your convenience. Additionally, room service is available 24/7 as part of the all-inclusive package. However, it can be difficult to resist the temptation to continuously indulge in all the available amenities.
The Royal Deluxe rooms are 429 square feet and the king versions feel even bigger. The Honeymoon suites are the same size, but instead of the whirlpool being in the bathroom, it is in a sunken area facing the water. The Royale Junior Suites are in a corner location which gives more space and natural light. If you want even more space, choose the Royale Governor’s Suite which is double the size and has a wraparound balcony with great views because it’s also a corner location.
The premium for this suite is only slightly higher than the lowest category for most of the year, making it a justifiable splurge. The top floor of the resort has five Presidential Suites that include a large dining room, living room, office, wet bar, and a big balcony. They provide an experience that makes you feel like a head of state.
Although the spa services are not included in the all-inclusive plan, the resort frequently offers packages that come with a spa credit to cover several treatments. The reason why Le Blanc is called a “spa resort” is because it has a wide selection of suites and treatments that are highly rated. The resort has over 24 spaces available for singles and couples, including hydrotherapy facilities and a Vichy suite.
I received a full-body massage during my stay in Mexico, which was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. My therapist had an amazing talent for detecting every muscle knot in my body and relieving the tension.
All guests who book a treatment at this facility can enjoy access to additional amenities such as a sauna, steam room, ice room, whirlpool, plunge pools, and a relaxation room. Additionally, there is a beauty salon available, which tends to be popular with visitors attending weddings at the resort. While the lobby and room appearance can be indicators of a resort’s quality, what sets Le Blanc Cancun apart is the high caliber of its restaurants.
This hotel doesn’t serve average buffets that focus on quantity rather than quality. Even their main international buffet restaurant serves visually appealing dishes that are worth sharing on social media, and they offer cloth napkins at every table.
All the dinner restaurants offer separate menus for Italian, upscale Asian, and French fusion cuisine. I was particularly impressed with the beautiful decor at Bella – the Italian option, which is as elegant as any big city restaurant you’ve probably visited. The regular plan includes several wine options, including Italian wines, and every bite I ate at Bella was absolutely delicious.
I had a delicious meal starting with a bruschetta amuse bouche, followed by a seafood risotto and a flavorful lasagna which satisfied my Italian food cravings. For dessert, I had an elegant deconstructed creme brulee. Additionally, I tried several courses at Lumiere, a signature French restaurant with beautifully prepared dishes and fine dining service. It’s a romantic spot that will transport you away from the poolside atmosphere.
There are three dining locations where it is appropriate to wear a bikini. The main pool complex offers poolside service throughout the day. Additionally, there is a snack bar next to the lagoon side pool. Finally, Terraza is a casual dining spot on the level above the lobby, accessible via stairs from the pool, which features a pizza oven and a great view. It is an excellent place to enjoy huevos rancheros if you prefer to skip the buffet.
There is a large infinity pool with a swim-up bar that is surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas. Waiters are always available to bring you food and drinks. You can also choose to sit at outdoor tables at the restaurant and admire the beautiful blue Caribbean Sea. On the lagoon side, there is also a large pool with a volleyball net that might seem unnecessary at first, but it actually gets the sun in the afternoon when the hotel building shades the beach area.
On the beach, there is a smaller pool located to one side with whirlpool jets. Additionally, one level up, there is another infinity pool.
Although the resort is great, the beach service isn’t as efficient compared to the pool service. During my visit, it took three requests and 25 minutes to get a towel for the lounge chairs at the beach. Additionally, I didn’t receive any service from the waiters after that. This could be because the staff at the bar facing the beach seem to spend most of their time at the cabanas which require an additional daily fee of $300 on top of the all-inclusive plan. This fee includes a bottle of Champagne.
If you want to exercise during your Cancun vacation, you have several options available. The gym here is large and well-equipped, and offers scheduled classes like Pilates, yoga, TRX, and “aqua spinning” with custom bikes in a pool. Additionally, you can take advantage of the long Cancun beach for walking, which offers miles of sand and surf in both directions. The sunrise on the horizon each morning makes it especially beautiful.
The resort is one of only two in Cancun with a AAA 5-diamond rating and is popular among luxurious travelers who have limited options in the area. However, the resort needs to improve its sustainability practices by reducing the usage of throwaway plastic water bottles. At present, guests use thousands of these bottles every few days, and there are no purified water stations outside the gym to refill reusable ones.
Le Blanc Spa Resort sets itself apart by providing a luxurious and highly attentive experience from the moment guests arrive until they check out. The resort pays close attention to even the smallest details to ensure that guests have a truly unforgettable vacation.

🤿 Tours & Activities: For tours and activities in Mexico, I highly recommend using either Viator or GetYourGuide. These websites offer a full refund if you cancel your booking 24 hours before the start of the tour, and they also provide excellent customer service in case of any issues.
🚨 Travel Insurance: I always suggest purchasing travel insurance as a precaution before traveling, especially after a recent accident in a taxi in Mexico. For short trips, I recommend Travel Insurance Master, whereas for digital nomads, Safety Wing is a better option.
📷 Best Camera for your trip: I always carry with me a GoPro, It’s light, compact, takes great video and pictures, and most importantly, it’s waterproof! You just can’t go wrong with one. If you are interested in higher quality video and photography, I always carry with me on my trips and highly recommend the Sony A7IV which I think is the best travel DSLR Camera out there.
☀️ Biodegradable Sunscreen: Remember to include a good sunscreen to protect yourself from the summer sun. I always use and suggest Sun Bum Sunscreen, which is vegan, reef-friendly, and cruelty-free.
