Although Hotel Keti in Fira allows children, there are limited activities for them to enjoy, as is the case with many other hotels in Fira and Oia. The hotel is situated on a cliff and can be accessed via steps leading off the main pedestrian path.

Upon arrival, guests will encounter a small reception area with only a front desk and a book exchange nestled in a cave-style setting. One can easily get captivated by the breathtaking Caldera view before entering the reception area through a hand-painted arch.

The hotel has an indoor breakfast room next to the lobby, but guests often choose to have breakfast on the outdoor sun deck with white tables and chairs that overlook the sea. If you go down some stairs, you will see the cave-style rooms and a small pool.

Since the pool is small and there is no restaurant, many international couples and families spend most of the day exploring Santorini and only come back to the hotel for sleep and breakfast.

The Location

Guests often choose to stay at Hotel Keti due to its unique location directly built into the Caldera. The hotel is positioned at a safe distance to offer uninterrupted views and more privacy compared to nearby hotels.

However, guests should expect to walk up the steps to the main pedestrian path in Fira to enjoy these stunning views. Once at the top, they will have access to a variety of seafood restaurants, hotels, boutique shops, and souvenir stores. The Museum of Prehistoric Thira can be reached by foot in just four minutes.

It takes around six minutes to walk to the jewelry market in Fira. If you want to visit Ventesantos Winery, it will take you about 10 minutes by car or taxi. To get to Oia, you can take a taxi, which will take around 30 minutes, or you can take a reliable bus from the Central Bus Depot, which is a six-minute walk downhill from Fira.

Alternatively, many tourists prefer to walk along the Caldera from Fira to Oia. The hiking trail is moderately challenging but very picturesque. It typically takes around two and a half hours to complete, but if you need assistance, donkeys are available for the steepest section.

The hotel is approximately a 20-minute drive from the ferry port and just a 15-minute drive from Thira Airport.

The Rooms

Hotel Keti only has nine rooms, and each room has a unique layout due to the traditional cave style architecture of the hotel.

The rooms have a neutral color scheme with some added architectural features. For example, the King Suite has a built-in couch and bed platform, with yellow and gray accents in the throw cushions.

Furthermore, bird art decorates the wall above the bed to make the room more interesting. Each unit is equipped with a desk, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and a mini-fridge. You can enjoy stunning Caldera views from the private or semi-private furnished balconies.

Most of the bathrooms feature a large bathtub with a handheld shower wand, while some have a jetted tub. Toiletries and wall-mounted hairdryers are provided for your convenience. Please note that the King Suite is the only room with an outdoor whirlpool tub, but it is not heated.

The hotel provides complimentary Wi-Fi to guests, and staff are available to help with luggage. However, please note that no parking lot is available on the premises, as is typical of most hotels in Fira.

If you have a car, you will need to park it at a public lot located at the bottom of a hill, which may be slightly challenging due to some steep steps and sheer drops in the area.
