Grand Park Royal Cancun
I want to share a review of my stay at the Grand Park Royal Cancun Caribe Resort in Mexico with my son. The resort is all-inclusive and located on the beach with amazing views of the Caribbean Sea. It’s a great choice for families looking for comfortable luxury in Cancun.
The Grand Park Royal is an excellent all-inclusive resort in Cancun located in the middle of the Hotel Zone that offers a beautiful beach, lovely grounds, and great food options. This resort is ideal for families and couples who want to enjoy a nice beach vacation. Cancun is a top beach destination in the world, and there are many lodging options available, from affordable to ultra-luxurious.
I highly recommend the Grand Park Royal as one of the best resorts in Cancun and I would love to go back there again. Please note that there are two Royal Cancun hotels in the Zona Hotelera, the Park Royal Beach Hotel and the Grand Park Royal, both of which are beachfront hotels.

This review is specifically about the Grand Park Royal Cancun, and here are my observations about it.
We had a hassle-free check-in at our Cancun vacation, where we were provided with information on the facilities, services, and restaurants available on the property. A great benefit of staying at Grand Park Royal Cancun is the availability of a personal butler. If you reserve a deluxe villa, the accommodation comes with tailored butler service, making the experience even more luxurious.
One of the reasons why this resort is one of the best family resorts in Cancun is because of the butler service. Our butler greeted us at check-in and showed us around the property, including all the facilities, restaurants, and pools. This made us feel more familiar with the area. The resort is also beautiful, with two outdoor pools, palm trees, and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. After the tour, we were ready to relax by putting on our bathing suits and heading to the lounge chairs.
I recommend Grand Park Royal as a great resort in Cancun for both couples and families, as I saw a good number of both during my stay.
The Grand Park Royal is located on a stunning section of beach in Cancun. The hotel provides breathtaking views of the Mexican Caribbean. You can enjoy the beautiful pool, serene hammocks, picturesque gardens, and impressive facilities from any location on the property. Your stay here will be memorable.
The Grand Park Royal Cancun has 311 guest rooms and 33 private villas. Each room has a balcony or terrace, and some rooms also have a small private pool. If you’re staying on the first floor of the main building, you’ll have a patio that leads to a private pool area designated for that floor.
The resort’s rooms are designed for a luxurious experience and are situated in two buildings. The main building is seven stories and curved to take advantage of the beachfront location and views of the pools. There is also a low-rise annex of villas closer to the beach. Every room is designed to receive sea breeze and allows you to hear the gentle lapping of the ocean, which is perfect for a beach vacation.
During our vacation, my son and I stayed in a first-floor Deluxe Villa at Grand Park Royal Cancún. The villa had an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea, and we had access to a patio with two lounge chairs and a small pool through a sliding glass door. I appreciated waking up every day to this stunning view.
We were greeted with a delicious spread of fresh fruit salad, fruit platter, crispy chips, and tequila bottle upon arrival. This all inclusive resort in Cancun is definitely one of the best for families and couples because of the continuous treats and amenities. I, being gluten-free, was happy to see ‘gluten-free’ cards indicating which items were safe for me to consume. This small gesture was greatly appreciated.
The Grand Park Royal resort in Cancun is great for families because it has all-inclusive options. However, it can also be a romantic destination, especially if you book a stay in one of their Villas.
At the Grand Park Royal, there are two pools that offer amazing views of the ocean from all angles. The pool areas are equipped with lounge chairs and palapas, and the general vibe is very tropical. The main pool offers activities like scuba diving demos, volleyball, and party games, while the adult pool has a swim-up bar where you can enjoy delicious drinks like a Paloma, Pina Colada, or Margarita.
The Grand Park Royal resort is situated on one of Cancun’s top-notch beaches that boasts of white sand and clear azure blue water. To truly appreciate its beauty, you must experience it in person. The Caribbean Sea is at its best when it’s super calm, offering crystal clear water that allows you to see far down to the ocean floor even when you swim farther out.
Cancun is famous for its highly-rated beach that has white sand which is not hot to walk on even during the hottest months of the year. The Grand Park Royal provides private cabanas that can be reserved for a comfortable break from the sun, especially for families with small kids. These cabanas are romantic and perfect for relaxing with a cocktail in the late afternoon, after most families have returned to their rooms.
At Grand Park Royal, there are many dining options with a variety of cuisines. The resort provides family-friendly and upscale restaurants, including buffet options and mayan inspired cuisine-specific ones. You can enjoy specialties from around the world, such as American, Asian, and Mexican food, as well as three snack bars throughout the hotel.
Only guests over 12 years old are allowed to dine at La Concha, El Oriental, and El Mirador, which have a casual elegant dress code. The buffets and menus at all these restaurants were marked to indicate high allergy items, including gluten-free options at no additional cost. Gluten-free soy sauce is available at El Oriental restaurant. Wine enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the restaurants offer a good wine selection for lunch and dinner.
The Grand Park Royal has many places where you can get a drink. You can visit two top spots during your stay. One is the Ekinox Lounge located on the roof. It’s best to have a drink here at sunset while having dinner at El Mirador. The other spot is Premier, a swim-up bar at the pool where you can easily enjoy a drink while relaxing.
The Fresco Pool Bar is situated opposite the main swimming pool and provides a wonderful ambience to enjoy your preferred mixed drink while admiring the scenic views. Similarly, the Lobby Bar with its Zen-inspired decor offers a chance to connect with fellow guests.
The hotel offers daily activity programs with fun options for both adults and children. These include beach and pool volleyball, live entertainment, and bingo. The entertainment staff regularly organizes various activities such as beach sports games and pool volleyball. The hotel also provides non-motorized water sports such as kayaking, pedal boating, windsurfing, and snorkeling. These activities are great for spending quality time with your kids. Our resort is Family-Friendly, allowing you to relax with your spouse while your children have fun at the pool, beach, or Kids club. The kids’ activities include getting snacks at el Jardin located at the pool area, cooking their own pizza to be chef for the day, or participating in physical activities like Yoga Classes.
Grand Park Royal is considered one of the best all inclusive resorts in Cancun for families not only because of its kids’ club but also because children under 6 stay for free. The kids’ club is available every day from 9am to 8pm.
Grand Park Royal is an exceptional resort in Cancun that caters to both couples and families. Each room comes with a range of amenities such as 24-hour room service, a mini bar, coffee maker, cable TV, and complimentary toiletries. Additionally, this resort boasts luxury rooms, two pools (one of which is adults-only with a swim-up bar), four specialty restaurants, and optional cabanas (available upon request for an extra fee). At Grand Park Royal, you don’t need to worry about paying for most amenities because it’s an all-inclusive resort. That means your meals, drinks, beer and activities are already paid for. However, it’s important to know that spa services and car rentals come with an extra cost.
The Grand Park Royal is a great choice for a Cancun vacation. It offers awesome views, tasty food, and lots of enjoyable activities, making it one of the top resorts in Cancun.

🤿 Tours & Activities: For tours and activities in Mexico, I highly recommend using either Viator or GetYourGuide. These websites offer a full refund if you cancel your booking 24 hours before the start of the tour, and they also provide excellent customer service in case of any issues.
🚨 Travel Insurance: I always suggest purchasing travel insurance as a precaution before traveling, especially after a recent accident in a taxi in Mexico. For short trips, I recommend Travel Insurance Master, whereas for digital nomads, Safety Wing is a better option.
📷 Best Camera for your trip: I always carry with me a GoPro, It’s light, compact, takes great video and pictures, and most importantly, it’s waterproof! You just can’t go wrong with one. If you are interested in higher quality video and photography, I always carry with me on my trips and highly recommend the Sony A7IV which I think is the best travel DSLR Camera out there.
☀️ Biodegradable Sunscreen: Remember to include a good sunscreen to protect yourself from the summer sun. I always use and suggest Sun Bum Sunscreen, which is vegan, reef-friendly, and cruelty-free.
