Domes of Elounda is located on a hill at the far end of Mirabello Bay, off the main road. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to Plaka, a charming fishing village with great local dining options. Visitors can also take a guided boat to Spinalonga Island from the village’s small marina.
Elounda, with its many restaurants and bars, is a seven-minute drive away, while the more developed Agios Nikolaos is a 25-minute drive. Heraklion International Airport is located just over an hour’s drive to the west.

As a luxury hotel, it only provides suites and villas that have modern and stylish design elements. They are spacious and have separate living rooms as well as outdoor areas with private whirlpools or pools. The bathrooms made of marble or granite and some have gold fixtures. They all offer rainfall shower/tub combinations.
The accommodations have plenty of fancy extras such as robes, slippers, high-end toiletries, coffee makers, fruit and wine, fully-stocked minibars, and Wi-Fi that is available for free. All of the rooms are air-conditioned and most of them have stunning views of the sea, either looking out to Spinalonga Island or overlooking Elounda Bay.
The Premium One-Bedroom Suites are the smallest type available, but they are still spacious at 915 square feet (85 square meters). They’re great for couples or couples with one young child. The Family Suites are also large and have room for two children on two sofabeds.
If you have a bigger family, you might want to consider the Two-Bedroom Family Suites. The Private Residences have multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen, working fireplace, two full bathrooms, and even a private garden with a pool. The Luxury Residences have two bedrooms and cover a vast area of 2,000 square feet (186 square meters).
They come with additional amenities such as fruit juicers, private pools with whirlpool jets, waterfalls, pergola-shaded lounging areas, and outdoor spaces. On the other hand, the Luxury Villas are even more spacious, similar to large houses, and offer unobstructed sea views along with large private pools.

The hotel has a narrow but popular swimmable beach with soft sand. Guests can rent paddle boats and kayaks to explore the bay at the water-sports kiosk. A beach bar with waiter service and snack options is also available.
The traditional Greek restaurant Topos is located on the beach and offers fresh fish dishes, served on its private jetty. Wedding ceremonies are also held in this area.
There are multiple dining options available at the resort. In addition to the main buffet restaurant called Tholos, there is also an Italian a la carte restaurant and an Asian-themed restaurant.
Tholos provides great quality food with different themes every night. The resort offers both bed-and-breakfast and half-board plans that provide good value for money.
Guests staying in Haute Living on a half-board plan can enjoy unlimited access to the themed restaurants.
The hotel offers live music every evening and a range of activities for both adults and children. Some of these include morning yoga (for a fee) and themed kids’ shows. Dining options include an excellent poolside Italian restaurant, a romantic beachside Greek taverna, and beachfront and poolside bars. The resort is family-friendly. The hotel has five outdoor pools including two for adults only, as well as a sandy beach where guests can swim.
Additionally, there is an Elemis spa offering treatments, along with tennis courts, a helipad, and facilities for families with children. In the evenings, there is live music and twice a week there are shows for children.

🤿 Tours & Activities: For tours and activities in Greece, I highly recommend using either Viator or GetYourGuide. These websites offer a full refund if you cancel your booking 24 hours before the start of the tour, and they also provide excellent customer service in case of any issues.
🚨 Travel Insurance: I always suggest purchasing travel insurance as a precaution before traveling, especially after a recent accident in a taxi in Greece. For short trips, I recommend Travel Insurance Master, whereas for digital nomads, Safety Wing is a better option.
📷 Best Camera for your trip: I always carry with me a GoPro, It’s light, compact, takes great video and pictures, and most importantly, it’s waterproof! You just can’t go wrong with one. If you are interested in higher quality video and photography, I always carry with me on my trips and highly recommend the Sony A7IV which I think is the best travel DSLR Camera out there.
☀️ Biodegradable Sunscreen: Remember to include a good sunscreen to protect yourself from the summer sun. I always use and suggest Sun Bum Sunscreen, which is vegan, reef-friendly, and cruelty-free.
